Karen Darlene Langford, 12:00 PM, Friday, October 12, 2018


Karen Darlene Langford, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 8, 2018, at the age of 70.  She was born on December 23, 1947 in Okemah, Oklahoma.

Karen was an active member of Sunnylane Family Church in Del City.  She was an artist and a very good painter, especially painting landscaping sceneries.  Karen enjoyed traveling to Italy, the Caribbean, and she and her daughter, Lori went to Disney World sixteen times.  She enjoyed shopping, watching the Cooking Channel, the Travel Channel, and The Home and Garden Channel.  Karen was a fabulous decorator. Her cousin, Lavonne said that Karen was a classy lady with great taste.  She was self-employed and she and her husband, Gilbert were the owners and operators of Bedtime Mattress.  She then retired from Southwest Airlines in the reservation department.  Karen always had a genuine smile and she was always happy.  She was always on the go—she never stopped.  Her niece, Kelly, said you would never have known that Karen had cancer, because she never gave up and was strong to the very end.  She was everyone’s caregiver.Her first love was her Lord and Savior, spending time with her daughter, Lori and her nieces and nephews.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Lori Langford; mother, Lucille Davis; sister, Connie Tollison and husband, Kenneth; her nieces and nephews, and a host of other loving family members and friends.She is preceded in death by her father, Baxter; and her husband, Gilbert.Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Sunnylane Family Church, located at 4221 SE 41st St., in Del City.

Funeral Services for Karen will be held at 12pm, Friday, October 12, 2018, at Sunnylane Family Church.  Interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery Services, SE 29th & Sunnylane, in Del City.  Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home.
