Armando Godinez, Jr., 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 25, 2018


Armando Godinez, Jr., of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away April 19, 2018, at the age of 46.  He was born October 9, 1971, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Armando Godinez, Sr. and Silvia (Rangel) Godinez. 

Armando enjoyed listening to music.  He also enjoyed going to the movie and watching movies.  Armando enjoyed playing and watching soccer.  He also enjoyed going to the lake.  Armando attended Putnam City High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1989.  He also attended Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond.  Armando was an excellent jeweler and he was taught by his father.  Armando had been employed by Samuel Gordon Jewelers and had also been employed at Mitchener Farrand Fine Jewelry.  He was a kind loving person with a humble heart, always willing to help anyone in need.  Armando had a zest for life and always enjoyed a good joke.  He saw the best in everyone.  His first love was spending time with his family.  Armando was a loving son, brother, and uncle.

He is survived by his parents, Armando & Silvia Godinez Sr.; three sisters, Alejandra Craig, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Maria Godinez, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Claudia Godinez, Midwest City, Oklahoma; 12 nieces and nephews; two great-nephews; and onegreat-niece.

Funeral Services for Armando will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 25, 2018, in the chapel of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, located at 120 South Broadway, in Moore, Oklahoma, with Reverend Father Thomas McSherry officiating.  Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home.

I thank GOD for such a loving, caring family and for the life of Armando Godinez. What an amazing young man! I pray and trust GOD to keep you all in HIS comfort and care at this time.

Armondo was a wonderful man. Iā€™m so sorry for his families loss. I always loved watching him play soccer. Iā€™m sure he & Bill Seely are greeting each other with open arms. May God comfort all through this journey. Sad
