William “Bill” David Boyd
July 24, 1967 – February 13, 2021
Bill passed away into his new life on February 13, 2021, after a brief illness. He was 53 years old.
Bill was born in Tulsa, OK to Larry and Carolyn Boyd. He had several jobs beginning as a butcher for United Supermarkets and most recently working in the wholesale flower business here in Oklahoma City. He loved visiting and working with his customers.
Bill grew up in Eldorado, OK, and graduated in 1985 from Eldorado High School. He also attended Oklahoma Community College in radiology.
Bill loved spending time with family and friends and making them laugh. He collected Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. He also enjoyed researching and talking about cars, the weather, and watching his favorite TV shows, Wheel of Fortune and Ridiculousness.
Bill is survived by his mother, Carolyn, of Eldorado; brother, Larry Black and wife, Cynthia, of Roscoe, TX; sister, Martha Nelson and husband, Mance, of Quanah, TX; and 2 life-long friends, Mark and Robert; also, nephews, Brodie Boyd and wife, Lexi, of Quanah, TX, Kaleb Rozell and Katy Colbert, of Quanah, TX; nieces, Alyssa Betts and husband, Kade, of Olney, TX, Madison Ickert and husband, Mathew, of Olney, TX; grand-nephews, Kameron, Brayson, and Logan Betts, and August and Samuel Ickert. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bennie and Viola King, of Goodlett, TX; special friend, Jim Logston; and his aunt, Sandy Harrell, of Sayre, OK.
Many thanks to Bill’s doctors, nurses, and all medical personnel of Integris Baptist Hospital and Integris Hospice House. The loving care, concern, and comfort provided during his illness was impeccable. Special thanks to Dr. Salins for her special interest in his care.
A memorial celebrating Bill’s life will be held at Lynlee Mae Chapel, 507 E. Main Street, Moore, OK, on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 1:00 pm, followed by a reception in his honor. Services under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, OK.
