Wilda E Summers

Wilda E Summers, age 91, passed away in her home on April 24, 2021.She was born in Lahoma, Oklahoma. Wilda is remembered for her beautiful floral gardens, her love for the upkeep of those flowers, her oil paintings in her earlier years and in her later years her watercolor paintings. Wilda, a retired teacher taught for 28 of her 32 years in the Crooked Oak school system. Wilda had a great love traveling this great nation with her sisters. One of the most notable gifts Wilda gave to society is her involvement with her church where she was an instrumental component of the Mother’s Day Out program at University Christian Church and then following her pastor to The Cross Church of Norman Oklahoma. Wilda really enjoyed being around her family and especially her grand kids. She will be missed by all who knew her. Wilda is survived by her 2 Sons, Mike and his wife Angela, Mark and his wife Michelle, 5 grandchildren, Michael, Colton, Kaitlyn , Meagan and Layton . 2 great grandchildren, Juniper and Odeya, 2 sisters Elsie Cook and Dorthy Unruh. She was preceded in death by her parents Vera and Emery Unruh, and her husband Hughbert “LeeRoy” Summers. Services will be held at The Cross Church, 3201 60th Ave. NW in Norman Oklahoma on April 29, 2021 at 6 p.m. The family would like to express deep appreciation to the care given by Tender Care Hospice.
