Wesley Earl Cravens, better known as “Wes,” sadly departed on Friday, February 02, 2024. He was a dad and a brother but to many that knew him well, Wes was simply a really great friend. He was loved and will be deeply missed. He was almost always up for warm conversations and when it came to helping those he cared for, Wes very seldom had limits.
Wes was born on January 04, 1952 in Kellogg, Idaho. He later attended school in Fredonia, Kansas where he graduated from high school. While growing up, Wes often spent time outdoors. Being raised by a hunter, Wes was taught how to hunt and fish. Wes never left his country roots as he was a country music fan and he loved watching western movies. Wes was an excellent woods workman and even left his initials engraved in furniture pieces that his hands crafted for his son, James. But Wes left much more than that as he taught James everything a father could. The father and son pair enjoyed working on cars and just about anything else together and were ultimately the best of friends. Wes also leaves behind daughters who he taught how to ride bicycles, roller skate, and with whom he shared skills for playing card and board games. Of course, he also shared his love for old western movies, music and motorcycles. Wes invested his time in not only listening to his daughters but also teaching them to accept themselves.
Professionally, Wes was great at sales and was a small business owner of several successful businesses. Wes was highly independent, intelligent and had a very strong work ethic. These were traits that he demonstrated well among others.
Wesley Earl Cravens was loved dearly and will forever be missed by his family and friends.
