Oklahoma January 20th, 1927. They moved to Inola, Oklahoma in 1932. He helped his Dad farm and graduated from Inola High School.
Waverly married Elizabeth Loewen on December 24th, 1949. The love of his life. They farmed together near Verden until they moved to Norman in 1956. They both went to work for Central State Hospital. Waverly worked there for 10 years and became a letter carrier for USPS of Norman for 23 years until he retired.
He enjoyed traveling in his motor home, fishing, gardening, sports, gambling and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Norman YMCA in which he enjoyed his exercise class and the friendships he made there.
Waverly will be missed by all who knew him. He was a great friend to so many people. He is survived by his children Scott Cupp of Norman, Gayle Cringan (Doug) of Wellington, CO and his granddaughter Kelly Evans (Brian) of Wellington, CO. Preceding his death was his wife Elizabeth Cupp, sisters Dorthy Von Tungeln, Maxine Cummins, Wanda Mullen and grandson Jedd Carroll.
