Welcome today to celebrate the June 25th Memorial Rosary for our dearly beloved Victoria (Vickie) Aleman Solis, mother, and great-grandmother, friend, and sister in Jesus Christ.
She was called to Father God to go home and be with Him. Vickie entered our Heavenly home on June 22, 2020. She was born May 19, 1935, in Oklahoma City, to Ruby and Margarito Aleman.
She married the love of her life, Santos Solis. She worked in the custodial department of Oklahoma City Community College for 18 years. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church. An excellent cook, especially at Christmastime, she enjoyed making hot tamales for her family. She loved the color turquoise, and above all, Vickie adored her family, especially her 50 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in passing by her parents, husband, and two daughters, Vickie Hernandez and Donna Ortega.
Those left to continue her legacy include her first born grandson, Vincent Solis, brothers Simon and Edward Aleman, along with Michael Solis, Ruby Hernandez, Elizabeth Puente, Cathy Paloma, Cynthia Guerra, Teresa Solis, Francis “Mona” Herrera, Gary Solis, Sharon Rangel, and Carolyn Trujillo. She is also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Thank you for your presence. May God richly bless you, and may God bless the family.
Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Arrangements are under the direction and care of John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home in Moore, Oklahoma.
