Trina Bertoletti Obituary

Trina Dee Bertoletti, 53, was called home to our Father in heaven on Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 (her dad’s birthday) She passed away at 1:24 P.M. in her home in Norman, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loving family as they sang to her.

Trina was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1968, to Delores and Terry Burris, of Oklahoma City. She graduated from Moore High School in her teenage years and loved attending the 12th Street cruises with her best friend, Sonya. She was an Okie, born and raised, but would later move to California where she met the love of her life, Lou Bertoletti.

Trina and her son Adam brought a pumpkin to Lou’s apartment for Halloween, after learning it was his favorite holiday, and that he didn’t have any plans to celebrate it. She lifted Adam over the fence, and they left the pumpkin on Lou’s porch. That’s just the kind of southern belle she was. She has been known to be the definition of “southern hospitality”. Trina Lou and Adam moved to Oklahoma to raise their family, which would soon grow by two, Cali and Jenna.

Trina Ballerina (her nickname given by her father-in-law) was the biggest OU Sooners fan you could ever meet. She and her mom never missed a game and had their own homemade cheers. “TOUCH DOWN, TOUCH DOWN, TOUCH DOWN BOYS, YOU MAKE THE TOUCH DOWN, WE’LL MAKE THE NOISE!”.

Our beautiful Trinity (Lou’s nick name for her) loved all kinds of music, some of her favorites being country as well as Mötley Crüe. She and her friends used to follow Mötley Crüe around from state to state to see their shows. Her and Lou got to see them live with Alice Cooper for their final tour in October of 2014, when her daughter, Cali, gifted her two tickets after working hard to save money for the event. She loved sunshine and nice weather and could often be found sitting out back on the porch no matter what the weather was like.

She had a huge spot in her heart for her animals, especially her little dog Krissy. Trina loved Mexican food. She had an amazing talent and love for cooking. She was one of the funniest, sassiest, quick-witted ladies you could meet.

Trina is preceded in death by her parents, Delores Ann Burris, and Terry (T.D) Burris, as well as her granny Effie. Her legacy of love and selflessness will be survived and carried on by her husband Lou, her son, Adam, her daughters, Cali and Jenna, her daughter in law, Jamie, her son in law, Daniel, and many friends.

Trina has touched the lives and hearts of many more people than we can count. May you think of her on every beautiful day, anytime you see a magnificent sky, every OU game day, and with every joke that has a bit of a sarcastic bite to it. She wouldn’t have it any other way. We find comfort in knowing she is in Heaven with her mom having the best day, every single day.
