Obituary

Timothy Lewis “Tim” Brown, of Oklahoma City, passed away September 11, 2020 at the age of 59.  He was born March 5, 1961 in Henderson, Kentucky. 

 

Tim graduated from US Grant High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1979.  He married the love of his life, Vicki Lynn Buchanan on May 18, 1991 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

 

Tim was a founding member of Westmoore Community Church and served as chairman of the Leadership team. He played softball for many years for the Mariners and was “Men’s Competitive Player of the Year” in 1998. 

 

Tim was a professional photographer for most of his working career, and was the photographer on several Oklahoma Honor Flight Missions, taking WWII Veterans to Washington DC for the memorial.  He produced movies and was an award-winning movie producer.  In addition, Tim took school pictures for 28 years, as well as at the OKC Golf and Country Club for the Fortune Club.  He and Vicky owned Regional Physical Therapy and 3 other clinics.

 

Tim loved OU Football and was also a Dallas Cowboys fan.  He enjoyed traveling and scuba diving. 

 

Tim was an amazing husband, brother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

 

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Vicki Buchanan Brown, of the home; 8 siblings, Tommy Brown & wife, Donna, of Henderson, Kentucky, Patty Conner, of New Braunfels, Texas, Ricky Brown, of Newalla, Oklahoma, Carol Barber, of Oklahoma City, David Watson & spouse, Ken Rabago, of Dallas, Texas, John Watson, of Oklahoma City, Craig Watson, of North Carolina, and Robby Watson & wife, Stephanie, of Oklahoma City; Tim & Vicki’s close friends, Steve & Denice Copus, of Oklahoma City; their children and Tim and Vicki’s godchildren, Rachel Rose & husband, Austin, of Moore, Sarah Copus, of Oklahoma City, and Ethan Copus, of Oklahoma City; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.  Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Janie Watson. 

 

Services to celebrate Tim’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Westmoore Community Church, located at 12609 S. Western Ave., in Oklahoma City, with graveside services following at Moore Cemetery, 800 SW 4th Street, in Moore, Oklahoma.  Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, Oklahoma.
