Timithy McFarland Obituary

Timithy Johnston McFarland was born on Tinker Air Force Base on July 13, 1996, to his proud parents, Matthew and Tracey McFarland. On Thursday, February 8, 2024, Tim passed away from this life unexpectedly at the age of 27.

Responsible and conscientious from a young age, Tim possessed the heart and soul of a true caretaker, always compelled to help his fellow man in any way that he possibly could. As a youngster, he rose to the level of Eagle Scout, and while attending high school, participated in ROTC in Choctaw, Oklahoma. During his time in school, Tim was the kind of guy who everyone sought out for help – whether it was assistance with their schoolwork or just general advice, he was a trusted go-to for the people in his life.

Tim went on to join the Mustang Fire Department as a Firefighter. Following a year with the fire department, Tim began working as an EMT and ambulance driver, and after two years became a full-time Paramedic for Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA). Tim took immense pride in his job. He loved arriving to work early and enjoyed being prepared to do the best work he possibly could. Tim dedicated himself to everything he did. No matter what it was - a Jiu-Jitsu match, a new video game, or even planning his next camping trip, he gave everything 110%, every time.

As a devout Christian, Tim loved the Lord and enjoyed listening to the Bible on audio as he slept, and when she was younger, liked to read the Bible to his sister. He considered all life sacred, so much so that he wouldn’t even consider harming a bug. Affectionately called the “family protector”, he was an incredibly gentle, comforting presence. Always one to express his feelings clearly, he was so easy to talk to, and over the years, was a trusted confidante to many. Tim especially adored talking to his daughter, cherishing the time he spent with her. His daughter was his ultimate pride and joy, and he loved her completely and unconditionally. Tim was such a good person. He was a wonderful son, a loving father, brother, grandson, and nephew, and a true and loyal friend to many.

As we reflect on the life of Timithy McFarland, let us remember him for the beautiful moments he shared, the love he bestowed upon his family, and his unwavering commitment to the things that brought him joy. His legacy will live on through the people he loved, the lives he saved, and the many memories he created. Tim will forever remain in our hearts as a beacon of light, reminding us to be kind to each other, and to savor each day.

Though he has departed this earthly life for an eternal life in Heaven, Timithy’s spirit will be etched forever in our hearts. May he find eternal joy and peace in his new journey beyond.

He leaves to treasure his memory a daughter, Bethany Grace McFarland; parents, Tracey and Matthew McFarland; sister Victoria, and brother-in-law Keshawn; his paternal grandparents, Jim and Deborah McFarland, and maternal grandparents Larry and Melinda Duvall. Tim is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles whom he loved dearly, his dog, Louie, and many more loved ones and countless friends.
