Steven Eugene Puckett

Steven Eugene Puckett, age 71 of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on January 26, 2023. Steven was born in Oklahoma City on August 7, 1951, the son of Dale Norman Puckett and Ruth Laverne (Langston) Puckett.

Steven grew up in South Oklahoma City and attended Southeast High School. Shortly thereafter, he heard his country’s call and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict, serving two tours, and receiving an honorable discharge for services rendered to his nation when called upon to do so. After his time in the military, Steven began a career in trucking and worked as a driver for Dale Brown Trucking for most of his working career.

Steven was a fun-loving, caring man with a sarcastic streak and a bold, loving personality. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and a loyal friend to so many during his lifetime. Steven treasured time spent with his daughter and grandchildren, and cherished the memories he made with his late wife, Donna. He also enjoyed football, and he loved watching drag races and car shows on TV. Steven was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a loyal friend to many. He will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Puckett, and two sisters, Patty Davenport, and Sandra Hill.

Steven is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Puckett of Oklahoma City, three grandchildren, and many more loving extended family members and friends.
