Sharon L. Koonce

Sharon L. Koonce was born September 3, 1935, to Otis L. Cherry and Iva Jane (Trammel) Cherry. She enjoyed life for 88 years before passing away on April 22, 2024.

In 1953, she graduated from Tuttle High School.  She married Bob V. Koonce on January 23, 1954.  Sharon worked as a clerk and in other similar positions in her early years before retiring from selling real estate in 1988.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and her grandchildren.  Sharon and Bob lived in the Moore-Norman area and had three children before moving to Eufaula, OK in September 1995, where she fished and started golfing.  They loved the lake life before Bob preceded her in death on April 13, 1999. She was re-married to Thomas Duff on April 22, 2004.  They moved to Blanchard before Tom preceded her in death on July 2, 2011.    

Also preceding her in death are her parents, Otis and Iva Cherry, sister Carolyn Browning, brother Louis Cherry, son Kerry L. Koonce, son-in-law Chuck Redmon, and grandson Jeff Redmon.

Surviving Sharon are her granddaughter Kinsey Poole, grandson Kip Koonce, daughter Carma Redmon, granddaughter Amber Farley and husband Josh, grandson Toby Redmon and wife Toni, son Chris Koonce and wife Becky, grandson Josh Koonce and wife Dakota, and of course granddaughter Kaia; granddaughter Dr. Nicole Fansler and husband David, grandson Jacob Koonce; as well as her great-grandchildren, Glenda and husband John Carel, Stan and Elaine Cherry, and cherished in-laws that are still with us.
