Sharon Lee Hall-Maldonado of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, lost her 6-year battle with cancer on August 2, 2022, at the age of 68. Sharon was born to Bobby Eugene Hall and Velma Doris (Richards) Hesseltine on October 4, 1953. For 38 years, she was a special education teacher’s assistant, a rewarding career that she thoroughly enjoyed. She loved working with children and enriching their lives.
Sharon was a warm, nurturing, and caring person who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with those she loved. Always living her life to the fullest, she enjoyed having fun and hanging out with her family, especially loving time spent with her grandchildren. Sharon was a wonderful mother to her children, and a sweet, adoring grandmother to her grandkids. She was very present in all their lives, always attending all their sporting events and school functions over the years. She also loved taking pictures and was the unofficial family photographer, documenting her family’s most precious moments over the years. She had a variety of interests and hobbies and loved writing poetry, listening to music, swimming, watching OU football, tending to her beautiful flower gardens, and going out for margaritas with her family and friends. Sharon will be remembered for her zest for life and her genuine, loving presence that helped so many people throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her father, Bobby E. Hall, one brother, David Hall, and one sister, Bobbie Hall.
Sharon is survived by her children, son Shane Lunsford and partner Mary Hall, and daughter Alondra Maldonado and partner Brandon Muse; five grandchildren, Christian Lunsford and wife Mariah, Dameyune Lunsford, Kadin Muse, Bryndolynn Maldonado, and Lennon Muse; a great-granddaughter, Scout Lunsford; her mother, Velma “Doris” Hesseltine; one sister, Patricia Strunk and husband Jerry, niece Stacey Bolser and husband Robby,nephew Daniel Strunk, niece Shannon Holden and husband John,and nephew Timmy Strunk along with a sister-in-law, Teresa Hall, niece Amber Hall-Fields, Tara Hatfield, nephew Joel Hall, and niece Megan Hall-Parton and husband David,and many other extended family members, colleagues, and dear friends.
