Sandra Trench Obituary

Sandra Ann Trench of Moore, Oklahoma passed away from this life to begin her eternal life in Heaven on October 2, 2021, at the age of 75. Sandy was born in Ada, Oklahoma to Barney and Ruby Lee Hall (formerly Dempsey) on March 2, 1946. Sandy attended Roff High School near Ada in Roff, Oklahoma. Sandy was employed at the South Park East nursing home in Housekeeping, where she spent most of her working career.

Sandy, affectionately known as “Diva” was a bubbly, happy lady who according to many, was a walking ray of sunshine. Sandy had a zest for life, always living hers to the fullest and doing everything in her power to cheer everyone up. Sandy was a wonderful homemaker for her family. She was a grandmother to many, and she had a kind, loving, and giving heart, always willing to do anything for anybody. Sandy enjoyed reading, cooking, and baking. She was known for her brownies, cookies, and cakes, and her son-in-law David said she could make a “mean pot of beans”. She enjoyed shopping, especially for purses, shoes, lamps, and knick-knacks, and she also loved to collect Elvis memorabilia.

Sandy enjoyed watching The Waltons, Andy Griffith, and The Young and the Restless, and the Trinity Broadcasting Network. She also loved to watch the Food Network to get new recipe ideas and cooking tips, and her favorite was watching The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond.

She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose first love in life was for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sandy touched the hearts of many with her loving, tender, caring heart. She will forever be in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Barney Hall. Sandy is survived by many loving family members, including her children, Hollie Lynn Schaffer and husband David of Moore, Dodd Trench, of the home, and Iran Trench of Moore; a brother, Charles Hall of Ada, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Houston and Travis Hatcher; and one great-grandson, Elijah Hatcher.

Services will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 8, 2021, at the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway Avenue in Moore, Oklahoma.
