Russell "Rusty" Heitz Obituary

Russell "Rusty" Jay Heitz, of Marlow, Oklahoma, passed away on May 25, 2023, at the age of 59.  He was born December 31, 1963, in Norman, Oklahoma.

A 1982 graduate of Moore High, Rusty will always be known for his amazing work ethic, his passion for farming and the dairy was second to none. Rusty lived his dream on the dairy, he was still milking twice a day until the last few weeks. Rusty’s life outside of the dairy was at OU sporting events and 4-H activities. Rusty was a Cleveland County 4-H Hall of Fame member and would remain active in the program for many years. He loved music, especially country music and he loved to dance.  Rusty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rusty is survived by his mother, Rebecca Berry Heitz of Norman; sister, Rhonda Hall & husband, Neal, of Moore; brother, Randy & wife, Amy of Moore, nephew Chris & wife, Karen Hall of Wilburton, and niece Rebecca Heitz of Moore; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many friends that will always be family.  Rusty is preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Heitz.


A celebration of life will be held August 12,2023 at 11am at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds, located at 601 E. Robinson Street, in Norman, OK.
 

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Cleveland County 4-H Foundation, 601 E. Robinson, Norman, OK 73069.
