Roy Allen Walker

Roy Allen Walker, 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 10, 2021.  The son of James and Margaret (Ayers) Walker, Roy was born on December 6, 1927, in Nash, OK. 

Roy retired from the United States Army after 30 years of service.  While in the Army, Roy served in 2 tours of duty in Japan and 1 tour in Korea during the Korean War with the 45th Division.  He worked as an aircraft mechanic and retired as a Sergeant Major.  After retirement in the Army, Roy did maintenance work at Hilltop Baptist Church and Little Axe Public Schools. 

Roy is survived by his wife Dorothy; daughter, Sara Little Jim and husband Webb; 2 grandchildren, James Little Jim and Jason Little Jim and wife Terra; and a host of nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Edith Walker and Julie Walker; son, Leon Walker; 3 brothers, Oscar Walker, Bill Walker, and Virgil Walker; 2 sisters, Viola Wilgus and Martha Wanner.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, Little Axe, OK.  Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK.

Services are under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home.
