Robert Wiley Obituary

With hearts full of love and an abundance of special, everlasting memories, we announce the passing of Robert Alvin Wiley of Midwest City, Oklahoma, who died on April 2, 2024, at the age of 71.

Robert was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on October 14, 1952, to Fred Wiley and Mae Wiley. He married the love of his life, Connie Manuel, on May 3, 1974, in a beautiful ceremony in Oklahoma City. A proud Veteran, he served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and went on to have a successful career as an air freight truck driver, retiring from Tinker Air Force Base after 16 years of dedicated service.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Wiley, mother Mae (Murray) Wiley, and his grandson, Trevor Robert Wiley.

Robert leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Connie Wiley; his son, Roy Glen Wiley and daughter-in-law Becky; and grandchildren Scott Wiley and his wife Beth Ann, Victoria Wiley, as well as Trevor’s wife, Kayleigh Eaton. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Tristan Wiley, Sadie Ann Wiley, Robert Wiley, Jeremiah Wiley, Jubilee Julson, and J.J. Julson; two brothers, Fred Wiley and his wife Dixie, and Kenneth Wiley, along with many nieces and nephews, and numerous loved ones.

Robert was a kind, loving soul. As a hobbyist, he explored a diverse range of interests and passions throughout his life. From being a model train enthusiast, a fisherman, to a semi-professional bidder on Ebay, he enjoyed and put a lot of time and work into his hobbies. However, none of these things compared to the love he had for skeet shooting, or his lifelong love of golf.

Yet, it was his family that remained his greatest source of pride and joy. Robert was an ardent supporter of his wife, son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, prioritizing their happiness and well-being above anything else. As we reflect on a life well-lived, let us remember Robert Alvin Wiley for the plethora of passions he pursued, his dedication to his country, and of course, the great and everlasting love he had for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
