Robert Richard Mosher III passed away peacefully on September 11, 2021, Bob to his friends and Bobby in his youth, was born August 18, 1932, in White Plains, NY. Bob was baptized and then confirmed (1942) at Grace Episcopal Church in White Plains. Bob graduated from White Plains High School where he excelled in athletics. He was a 1954 graduate of Rutgers University. He was a member of the Fiji fraternity and lettered in Lacrosse, Football, and Rugby. He proudly joined the Air Force where he became a pilot and retired as a Major.
He traveled the world to many places during his military service, too many to name, but notably serving in Vietnam. His travels led him to Nashville where he met the love of his life Betty. The two married in 1964 and had 52 years together. He was a pilot for ONA, Eastern, American Overseas, United, and others - he ended his career flying and living in Africa with his wife. Bob also taught at the FAA when it was under The University of Oklahoma. He loved to watch OU football and kept up with his Scarlet Knights (Rutgers). He loved holidays, hunting and fishing, and spending time camping at the lakes in Oklahoma.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife Betty (Watson) Mosher, his parents Robert Mosher II & Francis (Agonito), brother Harold Becker, great-grandchildren Justin & Ariana Mosher. He is survived by his 6 children: Wayne & Loretta Mosher (Hot Springs, AR), Danielle & John Worachek (Decatur, TX), Cerese Kelly (Chicago, IL), Lendell Mosher (Moore, OK), Robin & Lloyd Teeter (Newalla, OK) Bobbie & Greg Graumann (Moore, OK), 13 Grandkids, 17 great grandkids, and 4 great-great grandkids.
Funeral Service will be at Christ Our Redeemer Anglican Church, Friday September 17th at 10:30am with interment at the Moore Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30-7:30 PM at John Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel in Moore. The family is asking in lieu of flowers for donations to the American Heart Association.
