Richard Nelson

Richard Nelson, 83, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on May 3, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife, Claudine, who did a remarkable job taking care of him, as well as his daughter Wendy, and granddaughters, Isabella and Anabelle, of the home. He is also survived by his daughter, Tonya, granddaughter April, and great-grandchildren, Brody, Keaton, and Kenzie, as well as his daughter, Kimala, grandchildren Kris and Brandi, and great-grandchildren Emma and Oakley.

Richard was born on February 2, 1939, to Margaret and Carl Nelson. He served in the United States Navy. He was married to Claudine, the love of his life for 64 years. He was the owner of Southwest Canvas until he retired. He enjoyed traveling and dancing with Claudine. They were members of the Harpe’s Hogs dance group for many years. They traveled to many places together, including Jamaica, the Bahamas, and Paris.

Richard will be loved and remembered forever! At his request, no services will take place.
