Rachel Ellen Caldwell

Rachel Ellen Caldwell 49, of Midwest City, Oklahoma ascended to heaven to be with our heavenly father on Sunday, October 17, 2021. A viewing at John Ireland funeral home located at 120 South Broadway, Moore, Oklahoma will take place on Wednesday, October 20th from noon until 8:30 pm. A gravesite  memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, October 22nd at 2pm at Dignity Sunset Memorial Park, 2301 East Indian Hills Road.

Rachel Caldwell, was born Rachel Ellen Wathen in Conroe, Texas on December 13, 1971. Rachel was the second of  two children of Neil and Barbara Wathen of Norman, OK. Rachel graduated from Norman high school and attended both Rose State College and OCU with studies focused on criminal justice. She worked in the field of corrections for many years and also spent time in the field of finance and mortgage lending. Rachel was a dedicated mother to her children, Austin, Shyanne and Alexis Caldwell. She was also a great dog mom of three including a Great Dane. Rachel was a devout Christian and studied the bible daily.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents Neil and Barbara Wathen. Survivors include her previous husband Hollis Caldwell (50), children Austin Caldwell (28), Shyanne Caldwell (22), Alexis Caldwell (16) all of Oklahoma City, OK. She preceded her brother, Brian Wathen (55) of Norman, OK along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Sympathy items and flowers can be sent to John Ireland Funeral Home located at 120 South Broadway Moore, Oklahoma 73160. Memorial will be gravesite with shade and chairs provided.
