Rachel Atnip Obituary

Rachel Nicole Atnip passed from this life on April 29, 2021 in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands at the age of 30.  She was born August 21, 1990, in Oklahoma City.  She completed her Bachelor’s in Education at Southern Nazarene University.  Known to many as “Star Child,” she loved the islands, the ocean, and snorkeling.  She loved spending time with her island family and her cat, Harry Pawtters.  She also enjoyed boating, parasailing, stargazing, as well as gardening and soccer.  She spent her free time glittering the island of St.Thomas.  She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities and always with her contagious smile. She was an amazing woman and will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Marvin & Betty Ross; and her “PawPaw,” David Atnip, Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Susan Atnip Coleman, her father, David Atnip, her stepfather Anthony Coleman, as well as her siblings, Ashlee and Arthur Rodriguez, Arin Atnip, Cayden and Corie Coleman and her grandmother Ann Atnip.

A Memorial Service to remember her life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway in Moore, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel.
