Pedro Candelario Vera de la Cruz

Pedro Candelario Vera de la Cruz, age 52 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on May 5, 2022. Pedro was born in Xicoténcatl, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Blas Vera Castro and Celestina de la Cruz on June 29, 1969. He enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time with his family, whom he adored. Pedro’s kind heart touched the lives of many, and he will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Celestina de la Cruz, his father, Blas Vera Castro, and one brother, Arturo Vera.

Left behind to treasure his memory are his loving wife, Mayra Vera; his children, daughter Cruz Vera, and sons Juan Vera, Jesus Vera, and Pedro Vera; along with nine siblings, Aurora Vera, Juventina Vera, Gildardo Vera, Javier Vera, Juan Vera, Alfredo Vera, Blas Vera, Celestina Vera, and Silvia Vera.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm through 8:30pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel of Capitol Hill, located at 3228 S. Western Avenue in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services will begin at 12:00pm on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 2706 S. Shartel Ave in Oklahoma City.
