Patricia Ann Dobson

Patricia Ann Dobson of Moore passed away to spend eternity in Heaven with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ on July 31, 2021 at the age of 82. She was born to Glenn W. Todd and Bertha Bell Todd (formerly London) on January 3, 1939. Ms. Dobson grew up in Moore, attending Moore High School and graduating with the class of 1957. Ms. Dobson was employed at the General Motors Acceptance Corporation in the Finance department for 28 years. Patricia became a Christian at the age of 12, and she attended Central Church of Christ in Moore for over 70 years.

Pat enjoyed many functions at church, the most recent excitement being going on outings with the “Prime Timers”, a group of seniors at Central Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society for several years, proudly donning her purple attire and red hats on meeting days. She was quiet, even serious at times, but she was always thoughtful and selfless. She would do anything for anybody, especially those she loved. She liked to unwind by watching crime shows on TV, and she never missed a single episode of Murder She Wrote. Some of her other favorites were NCIS, Blue Bloods, Criminal Minds, and Hawaii Five-0. When it was time to pick a movie, Pat completely switched gears and generally picked an opera or a musical. Her all-time favorite film was The Sound of Music, and she adored the opera, being partial to classics like Madame Butterfly and The Phantom of the Opera. She liked to listen to opera and gospel music, and she was particularly fond of Carrie Underwood’s album “My Savior”.

More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. Holidays were Pat’s absolute favorite – she loved having any opportunity to bake for her family and make homemade candy from scratch. Her family was vital to her, and nothing gave her more enjoyment than being with them.

Patricia was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Bertha and Glenn Todd, and a son, Mica Tipton.

She is survived by her children; a daughter, Tricia Wiser and husband John, and a son, Todd Dobson and wife Rhonda; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters, Sharon Moore and Darlene Tibbles, both of Texas.

Visitation for Patricia will begin at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway Avenue in Moore, Oklahoma.

Funeral services for Ms. Dobson will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Central Church of Christ, located at 800 E. Main Street in Moore, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery in Moore, Oklahoma.
