On February 1, 2024, Pamela Doherty departed this world at the age of 75.
Born Pamela Louise Spivey on July 18, 1948, she was the daughter of Louis
Edward Spivey and Winnie Mae (Richardson) Spivey; both parents and younger
brother, David, preceded her in death. Pam grew up in southeast Oklahoma City
and later outside of Dibble, Oklahoma. After graduating from Dibble High School
in 1966, Pam went to work at Tinker Air Force Base where she met and married
Ben Doherty on June 30, 1967. Pam and Ben moved to Moore where they raised
their sons, Chris and Brian. Pam retired in July of 2003.
Pamela loved to travel with her husband Ben, and together, they pulled their
RV all over North America. She enjoyed spending winters in Aransas Pass, Texas,
summers in Monument, Colorado, and loved it when she could take the grandkids
along on their travels. Pam was quite skilled in the art of crochet and loved cross-
stitching. She was a voracious reader who preferred to read mysteries, and you
could often find her perusing online E books of the library, looking for that next
great read. She also loved playing board games, especially Kings in the Corner
with her grandkids. Pam will be very dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ben Doherty; two sons, Chris
Doherty and daughter-in-law Sandy, and Brian Doherty and daughter-in-law
Chrystal; her grandchildren: Gareth, Dymitri, Deryk, Dylan, and Dayne; her
brother, Mike Spivey, and many other loved ones and friends.
