Melody Klepfer Obituary

Melody Ann Klepfer, 63, went to meet her Lord and Savior on January 18, 2021.  The daughter of Carlton D. “CD” and Wanda (Fisher) Blocker, Melody was born on May 25, 1957 in Amarillo, Texas.  Melody graduated from Moore High School and attended Ambassador College in Texas.  Melody worked for 3-4 years at Planned Parenthood and then spent 13 years at OU Health Science Center in the accounting Department.

Melody and Ron were married for 43 years.  When their children, Carl and Krystal were in band, Melody and Ron were both Band Boosters and Melody also did the accounting for them.  She was very supportive of her kids and the band and all the band kids affectionately called her “Mom Klepfer.”  She was also very involved with her grandchildren, whether it was 4H or Choir. She loved spending time with them. She was a member of Southgate Baptist Church for approximately 20 years, where she helped in the children’s choir program and the nursery.

Melody enjoyed making candy bouquets, which she often gave as gifts, but she also made a home business from the hobby she did so well.  Melody never met a stranger and loved to talk to everyone.  She was often found sitting on her porch, talking with neighbors for several hours at a time.

Melody is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ron Klepfer; son, Carl Klepfer and wife Sarah; daughter, Krystal Torres and husband Chris; grandchildren, Noah Klepfer and Wyatt Klepfer, Ashlyn Scott and Gabriel Scott; mother, Wanda Blocker; 2 sisters, Rickie Lee and Kimberly Ball and husband Larry; 1 brother, Randy Blocker and wife Carla; and several nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.  She is preceded in death by her father, CD Blocker; and granddaughter, Lila Klepfer.

Funeral services for Melody will be on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Southgate Baptist Church, 740 SW 4th Street, Moore, OK.  Interment to follow at Kansas Cemetery, Piedmont, OK.  Services are under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK.
