Marvin Wayne Smith

Marvin Wayne Smith of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on July 29, 2022, at the age of 85. Born in Beebee Town, Iowa, on December 14, 1936, he was the son of Arnold Forest Smith and Helen Margaret Spark. He attended college at Oklahoma City University, where he was President of the Young Democrats and graduated with a degree in Accounting. He went on to have a rewarding career in the finance industry as a credit manager for the Kerr McGee Group.

Marvin was a friendly, warm person who never met a stranger. He was always sure to live his life to the fullest, enjoying every moment. His kindness and generosity earned him many friends over the years. He loved golfing, fishing, especially for bass and trout, and traveling any time he had the opportunity. He enjoyed traveling in his RV, taking several memorable road trips through Colorado, Florida, and Las Vegas, creating beautiful memories, and making many dear friends along the way. More than anything in life, he treasured his family and loved spending time with those he loved. Marvin was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Helen, his dad, Arnold, and one sister, Sally Kierscht.

Left to cherish his memory are his four children, Leslie Smith, Lynne Smith, Lori Smith, and David Smith; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Carey, Emily, Kurtis, Colton, Conner, Cheyenne, Cameron, and Carly; two great-grandchildren, Cassidy, and Nigel; two brothers, Kenny Smith, and Darrell Smith, along with many other loving family members and friends.
