Martha "Marti" Faye Springer

Martha Faye Springer of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on Monday, September 4, 2023, at the age of 55. Martha was born in Panama City, Florida, on May 17, 1968, the daughter of William Bruce Burton and Pamela Kay (Evans) Burton.

Martha attended Del City High School, graduating with the Class of 1986. She went on to attend the University of Phoenix, earning her Master’s degree in Psychology. She dedicated herself to her career, first working with the elderly for the State of Oklahoma. Later, after retiring from the state, she continued advocating for the elderly by becoming a state-appointed Ombudsman. Martha was devoted to and protective of all her clients and residents. Not one to sit still for too long, Martha began working with the elderly once more at an assisted living facility after her retirement, even earning her CNA to better care for her patients.

Known as “Superwoman” or better yet, “Supermom”, Martha was a generous, loving person who would do anything for anyone. Always a ray of positivity in this world, Martha was sweet and funny, always seeing the best in everyone she met. She was highly intelligent, and giving. She had a soft spot for animals and loved her dogs Baby Boo, Mini Mouse, and Sweetie, as well as her cat, Boots. Martha also loved frogs, and absolutely loved her soda – she was particularly fond of diet root beer. More than anything in life, Martha loved her family, treasuring the quality time she spent with the people she loved. Though gone from this life far too soon, Martha made a lasting, positive impact on those she leaves behind. She will be missed tremendously.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Pamela Burton, her grandparents, and other beloved family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Samantha Garrison, and Teddy Springer and his wife Mykal Bowen-Springer, three grandchildren, Izabella, Braven, and Harlee Mae, son-in-law Anthony Garrison, and two sisters, Katie Hux, and April Vanderlinde and brother-in-law Todd McKee. Martha is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Hanna Vanderlinde, Zane Vanderlinde, Tayla Vanderlinde, Andrew Anthony Quintero, Amanda Villamarette, Maxwell McKee, along with many cousins, friends, and loving family members.
