Marie Lourene Kasparek

Marie Lourene Kasparek, 93, a resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully January 20, 2023. 

Marie was born December 30, 1929, to Walter and Lourene (Peak) Miller in Joplin, Missouri. She had eight siblings whom she loved with all her heart. 

In 1946, she married Donald Wayne Kasparek. She raised four children: Donna, Wayne, Karen, and Sheryl. Marie was an excellent housewife, with many talents thanks to her eight siblings. In 1990, she even went on to earn her GED. 

Marie loved her family, butterflies, hummingbirds, cardinals, word searches, and gardening. She loved watching game shows and playing games. This was one of the family’s favorite past times. 

Marie was an amazing woman. She faced so many things in life, but she never let that dull her sparkle. She was always thinking and taking care of anyone that needed help. She was a devout Catholic and believed in leading those she loved to the Lord. 

She leaves behind her children; Donna Humes, Wayne Kasparek, Karen Kasparek, and Sheryl Rath. She loved her 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Her eyes would light up anytime she saw one of them. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, 8 siblings, and 1 grandchild.
