Lori Ann Hardy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on November 18, 2023, at the age of 62. She was born in New Mexico on May 10, 1961, to Norma and Leroy Tenpenny.
Known as a girly-girl with a touch of cowgirl flair, Lori enjoyed getting dolled up and loved getting her nails done. She also enjoyed fishing, especially in her friends’ family ponds. She loved celebrating Halloween, and she adored animals, having had many special bonds with pets over the years. Most recently, she loved to spoil Jesse, the Miniature Whippet, and Woody, the Mini Pincher.
Lori was the life of the party, the kind of person who always made you feel special and comfortable in her presence. Known for her amazing cherry cheesecake, she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and loved creating new dishes from her Pinterest cookbook. She spent a lot of time landscaping and grooming her lawn and was said to have the best-looking yard on her street. She also loved redecorating and liked to update the theme and colors in her home once or twice a year.
Lori was a big fan of OU softball and Sooners football, and she had fond memories of coaching her daughter’s softball team. She also enjoyed being involved with her grandchildren’s sports and extracurricular activities, always so supportive of whatever they chose to pursue. More than anything, she worked hard to provide the best life for her family, and always did her best to ensure their happiness. She was the best wife, mother, and grandmother anyone could ask for. Lori will be very deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Norma Tenpenny.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of nine years, Cary Hardy; two children, Erin Jacknitsky and son-in-law Chris, and Paige Tinsley, along with her grandchildren, Elijah, Samuel, and Bodhi Jacknitsky, and Violet and Britton Tinsley; as well as her stepdaughters, Tabitha Coffelt and her husband Steve, and Terrah Hardy, and step-grandchildren Caden, Mikaylee, Maggie, and McPherson. Lori is also survived by her dad, Leroy Tenpenny, two sisters, Cathy Esquibel, and Tammy Morris, her beloved pups, Jesse, and Woody, and many more family members and dear friends.
