Levi Aaron McKenna was born May 28th, 2014 to Jerimy Bryan McKenna and Kimberly Michelle Blair. He had one older brother, Connor Bryan, who immediately became his best friend. Levi was so excited, 4 years later, to welcome his little brother, Clayton Del, to the family, where he immediately tried to assume the role of his primary caretaker. Levi was loved and cherished by a large family including, great grandparents: Ken and Gwen McKenna, Maize Blair, Betty Ballard Tate, Ronald Ballard, and Ruth Lemmonds; Grandparents: Randy Sr. and Delilah Blair, Candy Ballard and David McKenna; Uncles and Aunts: Joshua Thomas, Jordan McKenna, Zachary Couey, Emily Couey, Veronica Ferchau, Amanda and Craig Henry, Stephen and Jillian Blair, Randy Jr. and Jana Blair, and Melissa and Jeff Pool; as well as 19 cousins, and many extended family and friends who all loved him very much. Levi was preceded in death by great grandparents: Ken McKenna, Henry Blair, and Billy and Janice Pettit.
Levi attended first grade at Moore’s Central Elementary and had just started his first season of soccer. He was loved and will be missed by a great number of classmates and teammates, where he seemed to be everybody's "best friend."
To know Levi was to know innocence. Levi's big bright eyes and unforgettably beautiful smile could melt the hardest of hearts in an instant.
Levi's entrance to this world started a little shaky but once his feet hit the ground, they never stopped. He was a bundle of energy and he loved to play. Hard. And that he did. Levi loved playing with his big brother, Connor. Whether playing with legos, action figures, or wrestling around the living room like a couple of rabid raccoons, Levi was happy as he could be as long as his big brother was near his side.
Levi was a happy boy from a wonderful family. Nobody that ever saw him could deny it. His smile was big and bright enough to light up any room. He loved his parents, his brothers, and he loved Jesus. Levi answered the call of conviction last summer during Sunday school, where he was saved and soon baptized at Moore Baptist Temple, where he and his family are members.
Levi's life was undeniably way too short, by our terms. It is all so unfair, by our terms. We can search for answers all day and night that will never satisfy our questions. The one sense of peace that we can all take away is the knowledge that Levi's perfect innocence will never be lost and that we will hold him again and see that smile one day in Glory.
