Leon John Gobin of Blanchard, Oklahoma, passed away on September 6, 2021 at the age of 74. He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on August 2, 1947 to Leon Joseph Gobin and Theresa Gobin (formerly DeDaigle).
For his entire life, Leon was a diligent, hard worker. As a youth, Leon worked at his family-owned Construction company in Connecticut. When he was a little older, Leon proudly served as a Staff Sargent in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his career in the military, Leon worked in the auto industry doing auto body and paint work, but his primary career was as a Teamster driver.
Leon was preceded in death by his mother and father, Theresa and Leon Gobin, as well as a brother, Peter Gobin. He is survived by his loving wife, Loan Gobin; his sons, Linh Gobin and Joe Gobin; a granddaughter, Taryn Fitzpatrick; one brother, Alvin Gobin and his wife, Joan; sister-in-law Debbie Cushman-Gobin; a nephew, Ernie Gobin and wife Tony, their children, Caleb and Abigail; as well as a niece, Melissa Gobin and her son, Connor.
Services are pending at this time and are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel in Moore, Oklahoma.
