Larry Clark Obituary

Larry Wayne Clark, 64, of Midwest City passed away, Friday, January 15, 2021, after a lengthy illness. He is at rest and peace with his Lord. He was born on June 18, 1956, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Wayne and Verdine Clark. His father preceded him in death. Larry graduated from Del City High School in 1974. He played football and baseball in high school. He was a graduate of Oklahoma State University in 1978 with a degree in business administration. He retired from the United States Postal Service in 2016. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. Larry was a devoted husband and father. Some of Larry’s adult interests included supporting Oklahoma State University athletics avidly throughout his adult life. Larry loved golf, fishing, going to the lake. During one part of his adult life, he was a racehorse owner. Larry had the love and support of his family during his illness. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Cheryl (Young) Clark; son, Justin Turner and wife Allie of Asheville, North Carolina; grandson, Phinneas Turner; mother, Verdine Clark of Del City; sisters Debbie King of Midwest City and Jeannie Clark of Del City, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many loving relatives and friends. Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Midwest City, OK.
