It is with great sadness that the family of Keith Lee Freeman announces his passing. Keith, the beloved son of Chester Freeman and Helen Freeman Hilton, was born Nov. 26, 1968, in Durango, Colo. At a young age, Keith moved with his family to Moore, Okla., where he spent the rest of his life. He was raised with his brother, Tim Freeman. The two brothers loved each other very much. Keith graduated from Moore High School in 1986. That same year, he proudly earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Keith worked for the Moore school system for more than 20 years. He was a loving and caring man who put the needs of others before his own. He was constantly helping others. Several times in his life he took the brave step of asking for help. He knew that his struggles were taking a toll on his body, health and relationships. Keith would suggest to others struggling that they ask for help. He would want you to know that “you are not alone.” As many know, Keith and Tim were adopted. A great moment in their lives came in 2010 when they located their birth family. The brothers were welcomed with open arms, love and support by their birth mother and seven siblings. Along with being such a giving man, Keith had a love of music. Keith and Tim spent many hours playing records and making recordings on cassette. Keith’s love of music and Elvis was no secret; he made a lifelong commitment to his wife Cynthia at Graceland in 2009. Keith is proceeded in death by his father Chester, stepfather Ray, and his birth mother Dorthy. Keith is survived by his wife Cynthia; his children, Justin, Shaphan and Shanir; granddaughter Jadon; mother Helen; brothers Tim (Jeannie) Freeman, Jeff Gallegos, Chris Gallegos, and Dale (Cindi) Jaramillo; sisters Susan (Dave) Cano, Connie (Merwin) Todd, Laurie (Mike) Ernst, and Nancy (Jimmy) Kaiser. He was blessed to have a close relationship with his nieces Morgan and Bailey, as well as his nephews Lance and James, and his great-nephew Greyson. After connecting with his birth family, he was introduced to many nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him very much. Keith’s family offers thanks to his numerous friends for being just that — his friend. Special thanks go to Tonya Matson, a close family friend who shared a memorable friendship with Keith.
