Jose Resendiz

Jose Resendiz, age 66, of Oklahoma City passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.

Jose was born on February 28, 1955, to Guadalupe and Pablo Resendiz. He was a retired fieldhand in the oilfield industry at his time of death and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oklahoma City.

Jose was cherished amongst his family. He loved his grandchildren and doted on them at every opportunity, and they loved spending time with him. Jose loved travelling to Mexico and Tulsa to visit his family, and took every chance he could get to try a new Mexican restaurant – he loved going out to eat. He spent his whole life working on cars, and he always had fun doing it.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Guadalupe Resendiz. Mr. Resendiz is survived by his wife, Kathy Resendiz; his son, Jose Pablo Resendiz; his daughters, Cristina Guzman of Oklahoma City and Victoria Resendiz; eight grandchildren, Gabriela Meza, Marita Meza, Sofia Guzman, Theo Guzman, Camila Resendiz, Roberto Jaramillo, Julieta Jaramillo, Ruben Herrera; two step-sons, Matt and Lenny Vanhorn; and his step-daughter, Misty Vanhorn.

Funeral services for Jose will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 17 at John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery, located at 800 SW 4th St., Moore, OK 73160.
