Johnathan Hill Obituary

Johnathan Luke Hill, age 10 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on September 11, 2023. He was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on August 19, 2013, and was lovingly adopted by Susan Kay and Wayne Lyle Hill.

Johnathan was a good kid with a tender, loving heart, especially for other people. Wise beyond his years, he had just begun the 5th grade at Roosevelt Middle School. Johnathan accomplished so many wonderful things in his ten short years on this earth and was so proud of each one of his achievements. He loved to help. He loved to ask, “How are you doing?” and genuinely wanted to know the answer. He especially loved his mom and was a mama’s boy through and through, but his dad was his best friend.

His favorite color was green, and he was obsessed with playing his favorite video game, Five Nights at Freddy’s. He had recently become interested in computer animation. He loved to experiment with technology and make Tik-Tok videos with his partner, Kermit the Frog. More than anything, this joyful, responsible little boy loved to help take care of his family. Johnathan’s pure heart, and his love for his mom, his dad, brothers and sisters, had an everlasting impact.

In a final act of kindness and generosity, Johnathan is leaving this earth by donating his heart to a 17-year-old boy, and his remaining organs to other recipients. Although a loss of this magnitude is unimaginable and staggeringly painful, it is with some relief and sense of peace that Johnathan is surely in Heaven, wrapped in the loving embrace of his mother. He will be forever missed.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Susan Hill, his grandmother, Deborah (Buddy) Pilgrim, and his great-grandma, Mary Hill.

Left to treasure his memory are his dad, Wayne Hill; his brothers and sisters: Kaelynn Hill, Landon Trousdale, Jaydon Medina, and Baby Wayne Hill; his aunts and uncles, Rhonda Todd, Penny and Robert Cline, Becky and Bowie Luk, Charlotte Menfee, and Michael Rooker. Johnathan is also survived by his many, many cousins, including his “aunt” Mary Newlon, as well as many more loving family members and friends.
