Jo Ann McCollum of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on November 10, 2023, at the age of 60. Jo Ann was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on September 12, 1963, to Wynema (Duncan) Reynolds and Jack Marson.
Jo Ann was a one-of-a-kind lady, and by all accounts, the ultimate girly-girl. She loved to shop, and she enjoyed dressing up and making sure her hair, makeup, and nails were always beautiful, and of course, full of bling. Professionally, she spent her time at Arthur Elementary School in Oklahoma City, where she was the cafeteria manager, a rewarding and successful career laced with a tiny bit of irony, being that Jo Ann absolutely hated to cook.
At home, Jo Ann loved sitting in her rocking chair on the porch, where she liked to watch and feed the birds that visited her yard. She also enjoyed tending to her menagerie of plants and playing with her dogs. Her favorite movies were Jaws and Star Wars, she liked her steaks well-done, and she almost always had an ice-cold Coke on or around her person. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, and every year, Jo Ann looked forward to the thrills and chills of the spookiest season.
More than anything, Jo Ann treasured the time she spent with her family, who were her absolute everything. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a wonderful grandmother, sister, and friend. Her loving presence will be dearly missed by those who knew and adored her.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, and her brother, Jackie “Butch” Marson.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 42 years, Mark McCollum; her children, Kevin McCollum and girlfriend Samantha Phillips, Jessica McKee and son-in-law Josh, Stephanie Cisneros and son-in-law Moises, and Cody McCollum and girlfriend Angelica Gonzalez; as well as nine grandchildren, Carter McCollum, Asher McCollum, Madison Peoples, Lincoln McKee, Isla McKee, Vanessa Villanueva, Leonardo Cisneros, Scarlett Cisneros, and Noah McCollum. Jo Ann is also survived by two sisters, Sharon Kuczinski, and Brenda Rayner and brother-in-law Craig, daughter-in-law Kirsten McCollum and many other loved ones and friends.
