Jesse Ray Loy, age 80 of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on June 26, 2022. Jesse was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on May 19, 1942, the son of Freeman and Jessie Lee Loy.
Jesse was a jack-of-all-trades who could do and fix anything he set his mind to. He enjoyed cooking meals for his family, watching his favorite sports – he was a big fan of the Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys – and spending time outside fishing, camping, and boating. More than anything in his life, Jesse cherished his family. He adored spending time with those he loved, especially his grandchildren, all of whom he adored. Jesse was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Lee (Pettitt) Loy, his father, Freeman Loy, four brothers, and three sisters.
Left behind to treasure his memory are his loving wife of 16 years, Carolyn Loy, of their home; three children, daughters Carol Thompson and her husband, Eric, and Brigitte Lewis and her husband, Ross, and son Jesse Loy II and his wife, Carolyn; his grandchildren, Danny Taylor, Monica Lewis, Austin Lewis and his wife, Keren, and Hunter Loy; along with a host of loving extended family, and dear friends.
Graveside services will begin at 11:00am on Friday, July 1, 2022, at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction and care of John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel in Moore.
