Janie Lynn (Wilbanks) Carson

Janie Lynn (Wilbanks) Carson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on June 22, 2022, at the age of 68. Janie was born in Oklahoma City on April 21, 1954, the daughter of William Daniel Wilbanks and Janie Marie (Jamerson) Wilbanks.

Janie was a loving person with a warm, caring heart. She treasured time spent with loved ones. She adored being a grandmother, and Janie loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by a son, Mike Yoder, her husband, Kenneth “Russell” Carson, two brothers, George and Jackie Wilbanks, and a sister, Darlene Foresight.

Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons,  Mark Yoder and Ashley Johnson, Mitchell Yoder and Teresa Holmes, and a daughter-in-law, Jamie Hubble; six grandchildren, Mylee Yoder, Christina Schmidt, Wriley Webster, Mark Yoder and wife Haley, Joshua Yoder, Nicholas Yoder and wife Faith Ingram, Zachary Yoder, and Samantha Yoder; her great-grandchildren, Keaton Yoder, Andrew Yoder, Alonzo Gonzales, and Isabella Maldonado, and Isaiah Maldonado; four siblings, Edgar Wilbanks, Carol Wilbanks, Kathy Vanhorn, and David Wilbanks; along with a cousin, Nelda Rawson, and many more loving extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 11:00am through 8:30pm, at the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 S. Broadway Ave. in Moore, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Resurrection Memorial Chapel, located at 7801 N.W. Expressway in Oklahoma City. Interment will follow the service at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
