Jacob Michael Mashore, age 31, passed from this life on February 7, 2021. He was born July 27, 1989, in Oklahoma City, OK to Barbara Mashore.
Jacob, known mostly by "Jake," lived most of his life in Tuttle, Oklahoma. He graduated from Tuttle High School in 2008. In high school he played football, being part of the 2005 State Championship team. He also played little league baseball and football.
He lived a short time in Denver, Colorado with his brother Jeremiah as a man of leisure eating up all the food. He moved to Florida in 2011 to work as a waiter in the Florida Keys and also a landscape artist. When he had time he was an all-around "beach bum." He loved the ocean, taking in several cruises while living there.
He moved back to Tuttle in 2017 around Christmas time.
Jacob is preceded by his precious great "Aunt Ginny" Plumlee and great grandmother "Mammy Belle" Ora Belle Chapman both of Tuttle, paternal grandfather Bill Hoover, and sister Kylie Hoover of Tuttle.
Jacob is survived by his mother Barbie of Tuttle, Kat Canary - mother of his 7-year-old son Aiden, Aiden's sister, Zara 4 years old who Jake loved like a daughter - all three of Dallas, Texas. Aiden likes dinosaurs and Pokeman and Zara loves unicorns and riding piggyback on Jake's shoulder. He is also survived by brothers Jeremiah and Ted Harberg of Denver, Colorado, Brett and Heather Mashore and their 13-year-old son, James Camden - super skateboarder of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, grandparents Verla and Duane Berryman also known as "Mema" and "Papa." of Moore, Oklahoma.
They have always gone above and beyond helping "Barbie and the boys". Their help throughout the years, especially in the last year of Jake's illness is so graciously appreciated. They were there for them no matter what. Papa and Mema wanted to name Jake "Jet" because he was born on 727 and his hair was jet black.
Jake loved special cousins, Amy Snow, and Becky Arterberry like aunts. And sister like cousins Sarah Elizabeth Crumpler who came to his bedside telling him stories of their childhood together and how much she loved him. And Sami Martin bringing her new baby, Sage, to meet him and say her goodbyes. A special note, Becky Arterberry was so much help. I don't know what I would have done without her.
Jake is also survived by his father, Michael Hoover; grandmother, Bonnie Hoover of Eufaula, Oklahoma; aunt, Michelle Watkins, aunt Goose; sister, Stevie and Nick Lay; nieces, Audrey, Nevaeh, Kyzer; and nephew, Rylinn.
Jake had numerous friends whom he loved to be around. Especially his buddies since grade school, close friends, Nick Sublett, Brett Corley, Jay Thomas, and Michael Elcyzyn, and many, many more.
Jake appreciated the love he was shown from Diane "Grandma" Mashore.
Many thanks to Kat Canary for coming and being here to help Jake in his last days. Her outpouring of love and support was wonderful to see - many, many thanks!
Special note, his final resting place will be in the same section of his close friends, Brandon Homme and Corey Cook, and sister Kylie Hoover at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, Oklahoma.
Special thanks to Integris Hospice for all the great care they gave Jake. Their care was deeply appreciated.
Jake will truly be missed by all.
Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, February 25, 2021, at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway, in Moore, Oklahoma. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, OK. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
