Herbert "Ray" Williams

Ray passed away on January 24, 2023, at Norman Regional Healthplex.  He was born on November 3, 1958, in Duncan, OK.  Ray was raised in Duncan & moved to Wyoming & Colorado for his job in Oil/Gas.  He moved to Arizona hoping to retire & then he moved to Oklahoma City in 2021.  Ray & Anita adopted Jackson & Trenton in 2011 & the boys brought Ray a lot of joy during his short time with them & he loved them so much. He was a very protective Papa to his sweet girls whom he loved dearly.   We are very sad that he will miss all of the future events like 1st dates, driver’s license, swim meets, robotic competitions, graduation, marriage & more grandchildren.  Ray is survived by his wife, Anita, his children Jackson, Trenton, Heath, wife, Desiree & Scott, wife, Jayme, daughter, Brandi Morrell, his mother, NaDean & sister, Gayla Kincannon, husband, Ronnie & brother, Brad Stiegelmeyer, 5 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. Ray’s father, Jack, passed away in 2005.  Ray’s passion was golf, fishing & hunting.  Ray always wanted a daughter or granddaughter named Daphne Renee so when that didn’t happen, I thought he would settle for our dog being named Daphne Renee.  However, that didn’t satisfy Ray, he still did his best to talk the grandkids into naming one of their daughters Daphne Renee, but they just wouldn’t go for it.  Ray’s sister will miss the way he could make her smile when she was depressed.  His mother will miss her baby boy.  We will miss the crazy jokes he would send.  We will miss hearing him say “now that’s the dumbest thing I ever heard”.  Anita will miss everything about him, he was her rock. 

Services to be held at Westside Church of Christ, 726 McGee Dr., Norman, OK  73069 on February 17th, 2023, at 10:00.

Ray’s ashes will be laid to rest in Duncan, OK with the ashes of our little Daphne Renee.
