Gloria Jean Black, 84, passed away November 30, 2020. She was born June 20, 1936 in Paris, Texas to Bert and Ona Bowers. Gloria was an artist in her youth, drawing models and clothes for flyers and catalogs, owned a deli and then worked with surgical instruments at OU Medical center. After retiring, she enjoyed working puzzles, cooking, listening to audio books and watching Jeopardy. She loved flowers and cared for many potted plants inside and outside her home. Gloria was very outgoing and smart, with a sense of humor and had a wit that was hard to match. She was charismatic and could be extremely feisty. She was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan and it was wise to avoid her if they lost. Gloria is survived by her son, Brian Marlow; grandchildren, Roy Williams, Tanner Marlow, Toni Mutteloke; great grandchildren, Tyler Williams, Tinley Williams, Brody Shook; great great grandchild, Aiden Williams. She is preceded by her parents; son, Roy Lee Marlow; and one great grandson.
A graveside service for Gloria will be Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Cemetery. 13313 N. Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
