Glenon R.J. Hamilton “Grandpa Snickelfrtiz”
Glenon R.J. Hamilton was born in Jester, Ok on March 13, 1931 to Minnie Lee and Ruel Jasper Hamilton. He proudly served 20 years in the Air Force, which allowed him to travel the world. While serving, he met and married Velma Hall. Together they raised 6 children. He retired from the Air Force in 1968 and returned to Oklahoma. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 22, 2021, shortly after his 90th birthday. He is preceded in death by his parents Minnie and Ruel Hamilton, all 7 of his siblings, his first wife Mary Jensen Waugh, His wife of 49 years Velma ‘Hall’ Hamilton, his son Glen Hamilton, and his grandson Kyle Brown. He is survived by his long-time companion Helen McNabb, his children Susan Shelfer, Patty Hamilton Allen, Audrey and Ernie Smith, Lynda and Roger Gunter and Kim Brown. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Barbara Hamilton, Marija Franzeo, Bethany Hamilton , Madison and Jeremy Snell, Hamilton Grey and Rochelle Shelfer, Erin and Michael Henshaw, Jade and Kevin Brinker, Auburn and David Thompson, Duncan Brown, Amber and Cody Brumbaugh, Lyssa and Adam Veldhousen, Rebekah Parker, and Kara Brown, his great grand children Ashton Eddins, Kyra Hamilton, Wesley Emert, Logan and Nora Snell, Savannah, Molly and Winston Shelfer, Nick and Kelsie Brinker, Grayson, Parker and Jasper Brumbaugh, Kendyn Dougherty, Iris-Olivia Veldhousen, Walter and Scarlett Mclennan his great great grandchildren Radix Gonzales, and Meadow Brinker. He is also survived by his sisters in law Gladys Welty and Pauline Hall and brother in law Ed Heidenescher, along with many more nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In his free time Glenon enjoyed fishing, traveling, genealogy, spending time with family and friends as well as playing with his great grandchildren. He also loved his dog Pierre dearly. We love and will miss you. Until we meet again, Grandpa Snickelfritz.
