Glen Edward Jackson Jr., 72, died at 11:30 PM on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at his home in Moore under the care of Integris Baptist Hospice. He was born on October 24, 1948 in Greenfield, IL one of four children born to the late Glen Jackson Sr. and Elsie Vivian (Brooks) Jackson. At the age of 19 he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served our country with honor and valor during the Vietnam War. He served one term and was Honorably Discharged in 1970. Upon returning home, he was employed by the City of Oklahoma City Water Works Division. After that he worked for a Home Food Delivery Company where he managed the Warehouse and oversaw distribution. Ultimately, he settled into his truck driving career until his retirement in 2010.
Glen is survived by his wife, Lou Jackson of Moore, OK as well as his three daughters; Cheryl Jackson of Edmond, OK., Yvonne (Jackson) Norgrove and her husband Art of McLoud, OK, and Amanda (Jackson) Winner and husband Lance of Moore, OK. His brother Robert Jackson of Illinois, his sister Jodi Hayes of Jerseyville, Illinois, and his younger brothers Jake Jackson of Missouri and Jimmy Jackson of Illinois
He has five Grandchildren that he loved with all his heart! Alec Wooldridge, Aaron Wooldridge, Madison Winner, Makinley Winner and Karter Winner.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene Jackson, mother, Elsie Vivian Jackson, dad, Glen Edward Jackson, and two sisters, Patricia Owens and Barbara Chappi.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 on Tuesday April 13th at the John Ireland Funeral Home in Moore, OK where Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday April 14th with Pastor Brian Ramey officiating. Burial will take place at Little Cemetery in Seminole, OK with Military Honors. In Lieu of plants and flowers, memorials may be donated in his name to the Disabled American Veterans in care of the funeral home.
