Elaine Margaret Ring

Elaine Margaret Ring of Norman, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on February 20th, 2021, at the age of 56 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her three beautiful children, Lukas, Maitlyn, and Matthew McCaskill, their father, Jim McCaskill, and canine companion, Minnie Mouse all of Norman, Oklahoma. Elaine is survived by her siblings Sonia Ring, Sigrid Ring, Russell Ring, Phillip Ring, Karen Borgstrom, Kathy Lamb, Kristin Cantrell, and Matt Ring.  She was predeceased by her parents, William Hans Ring and Maisie Adelle Ring, as well as her siblings, Bill Ring, David Ring, Alan Ring, Timothy Ring, and Eileen Ring.

Born in Oklahoma City on November 29th, 1964, she grew up in Bethany, Oklahoma. After graduating from Bethany High School in 1983, she attended The University of Oklahoma as well as Oklahoma City Community College. She worked at Dillard’s Department Stores for 15 years as a sales manager until she became a mother and homemaker. Elaine volunteered at Community Christian School, The Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics, and children’s ministry in her church.

Elaine was a passionate and faithful follower of Christ who always had a smile on her face and a Servant’s heart for others. Her children were her pride and joy, devoting everything to them.  She enjoyed design and interior decorating for functions including school events, parties, and weddings as well as traveling and anything Disney. Elaine had a contagious laugh, a magnetic personality, and was the life of the party, celebrating life to the fullest.

A graveside memorial service for Elaine will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 1st, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, 2301 E Indian Hills Rd, Norman. There will be a Celebration of Life fellowship and lunch from 11:30-2:00 at Crosspointe Church, 2601 24th Avenue SE, Norman.
