Edna Louise Burke

Edna Louise Burke, 83, beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on September 13, 2020. She entered this world on April 27, 1937 in Oklahoma City, OK, born to Roatus and Lela DeVine.

Edna had many interests, she was a professional pet groomer with two pet stores for 25 years until she retired. After retirement she followed her passion for art and taught art classes in her home. She was also President of the South Oklahoma City Art Association and the Moore Garden Club. Edna really enjoyed art and gardening which she received many awards at both.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years James Burke; her parents Roatus and Lela DeVine; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two of her children, daughter Dee Donwerth, son Bryan Burke and his wife Tena Burke. Three grandchildren, Shannon Dean, Ace and Bradly Burke and five great grandchildren. Edna was a remarkable lady who touched so many hearts and lives, she will be deeply and profoundly missed.

A graveside service will be held to remember and celebrate Edna’s life on Thursday September 17, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 16, 2020 from 11:00 AM- 8:00 PM at John Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, 120 South Broadway, in Moore, OK.
