Dennis Eugene Motley

Dennis Eugene Motley 73, of Oklahoma City, Ok passed away on October 15, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Ok. He was born on November 18, 1946 in Shawnee, Ok to William and June Motley.

Dennis graduated from US Grant High School in 1965, he was in the band and swim team in his high school years. Attended OU, and then he joined the US Army and was stationed in Germany during his military time.  He lived in many states over the years and retired from the FAA after 32 years. He also worked for the post office. Dennis loved spending time with his family, especially his wife whom he loved to tease. Dennis love to spend time with his dog “Little Bit” who was always in his lap or following him around. Dennis was an avid OU fan and he liked playing poker and went on the World Porker Tour. He also was an avid golfer, bowler and billards player. Most of all Dennis loved taking his grandchildren on vacation, he even bought a van to take family trips Branson, Mo.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Motley; 2 children, William Motley and wife Carolyn and Dalea Motley; 8 grandchildren, Alicia, Kristyn, Christian, Connaughr, Jaylon, Shea, Jenny and Jamie; 5 great grandchilden, Rebecca, Sara, Avahree, Ryker and Isabella Formal Visitation will be held 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday at the John Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, 120 South Broadway, Moore, Ok. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the John Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, 120 S. Broadway, Moore, OK. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, Moore, OK.
