David DeWayne Harrison

On April 16, 2024, David DeWayne Harrison, beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and proud Veteran of the United States Navy, passed away from this life at the age of 68. He was born on December 26, 1955.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. David is survived by his son, Bryan Harrison, and daughter Carrie Harrison and her husband Jeremy Followwill; his grandchildren, Ayrlia and Gabriel Followwill; along with his cherished niece and nephews, Andrea Sutton, Darrell Sutton and his wife Marice, and David Sutton and his wife Kelley; and great-nieces and nephews Asia, Jaylen, Joseph, Ayrah, and Jerian.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Laura G. Harrison, who passed away in December of 2020, and three sisters, Cathy Lewis, Deborah Sutton, and Carrie Jo Sutcliffe.

A hard worker all his life, and a truck driver by trade, David very much enjoyed doing carpentry and repair work alongside his career as a trucker. In addition to his many side jobs and carpentry projects, he loved spending his free time working in his yard, riding his Harley, or watching OU and Oakland Raiders football. More than anything, David treasured his family. He loved spending quality time with his wife, his children and grandchildren, and his niece and nephews, all of whom were like children to him.

As we reflect on a life well lived, we are reminded of the enduring impact he leaves on the hearts of his family and friends, a legacy of love and strong bonds that will forever endure. David will be deeply missed.
