David L. Hanson of Mariposa, California, and most recently of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was called Home by the Lord on June 11, 2022, at the age of 75. He was born in Oklahoma City on October 22, 1946, the son of Noel W. Hanson and LaBelle M. Zeider.
David worked as a Computer Programming Consultant primarily for the Hewlett Packard company, a career that spanned over thirty years. He adored animals, always being particularly fond of dogs. He enjoyed a variety of hobbies including motorcycle racing, car racing, scuba diving, and snow skiing. He also participated in several shuffleboard tournaments over the years. His faith was an important theme in his life, and David had a loving relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a longtime member of the Hillside Baptist Church in Mariposa, California. This loving, giving man touched the lives of many, and he will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, LaBelle (Mitchell) Zeider, and his stepfather, Joseph Paul Zeider, his father, Noel W. Hanson, along with his beloved dog, Buddy.
Left behind to treasure his memory are two sisters, Antoinette Rapp and husband Jeffrey of Limerick, Pennsylvania, and Donna Thornton and husband Paul of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his stepmother, Marilyn Hanson of Oklahoma City, a nephew, Joshua Rapp and wife Gauri Padalkar of Los Angeles, California; and his precious Golden Retriever, Shelby.
