Daniel "Dan" Hebert Obituary

Daniel “Dan” E. Hebert, a retired sheet metal mechanic, passed away on July 7, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Dan was born August 13, 1953 in Springfield, MA to Homer and Mary Hebert. The Air Force brought him to Oklahoma as a young adult and he lived here the remainder of his life. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 2016 with 40 years of dedicated service.

Dan was an avid OU and TU fan. He spent many Saturdays watching football games with his best friend, Steve Wilkey and other friends. He loved OKC basketball, the Dallas Cowboys and his beloved Boston Red Sox. If they weren’t watching sports, you could always find Dan and Steve working on cars or wanting to change someone’s oil or rotate their tires. He thought it was fun. He loved to volunteer his time with animal rescues, specifically with the OK Save a Dog Rescue in Prague, Oklahoma. He was a spiritual man who was very dedicated to his Catholic faith and involved in many church activities at his parish, St. Eugene’s Catholic Church.

He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and those who knew him.

Dan is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Hebert and spouse Gerald Scoggins, as well as Mary Hebert and spouse Raymond Faye, his sister Mary Delabruere and brother, Chris Hebert, both of Massachusetts and other extended family. He is predeceased by his brother, David Hebert and parents, Homer and Mary Hebert.

Donations in his name can be offered to your local animal shelter, as he never met an animal he didn’t love.
