Clyde Leroy Winkleman, age 81 of Moore, passed away from this life to spend eternity in Heaven on July 31, 2021. Clyde was born on February 20, 1940 to Roy Clyde and Indiaola Winkleman (formerly McFarland). Clyde grew up in the Oklahoma City metro area, and after graduating high school, heard his nation’s call and proudly joined the United States National Guard. In 1959, Clyde met and married the love of his life, Joyce. They remained married for a blissful 62 years and had three sons together – Mark, Ricky, Stephen. Until his retirement, Mr. Winkleman was a Union Electrician, Local #1141.
From the time he was very young, Clyde loved spending time outdoors. You could often find him riding his bike all around Moore, with his trademark flags, sharing God’s love and His word with the community. Not only did he ride his bike all over, he even custom-built his own. He was happiest when he was working in his flower beds outside, beautifying his yard by planting new flowers and trees. Mr. Winkleman was deeply loved by his family, friends, and community, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Clyde was preceded in death by his mother and father, Indiaola and Roy Winkleman, and a brother, Kenneth Winkleman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Winkleman; his three sons, Mark Winkleman and wife Lori, Ricky Winkleman, and Stephen Winkleman and wife Jennifer; one sister, Delores Johnson; nine grandchildren, Nathan and Meghan, Katelyn Admire, Joshua Reed, Melissa, Ethier, Christian and Jerrico, Stefani Durbin, and Mathew; nine great-grandchildren, as well as one sister-in-law, Linda Winkleman.
